A FAIRY-TALE (And this is where you'll be staying till the police pick you up!)

There was a young girl once who wanted to be a fairy. She wanted to make somebody’s dream come true. One day she saw this old guy struggling to climb up thirteen flights of stairs carrying what seemed to be an extremely heavy bundle. It was an extremely heavy bundle, but she picked it up and they climbed those thirteen flights of stairs to the very top. But his apartment was locked and he didn’t have his key. He must have left his keys in the front-door, he said. She put down the bundle and went back down those thirteen flights of stairs, but she couldn’t find any keys. She climbed back up those thirteen flights of stairs, but at the very top the old guy had vanished. The door was still locked and the bundle was on the floor with a note attached : “I wanted to make your dream come true!”

She unwrapped the bundle and it was filled with gold coins. She carried that bundle of gold coins back down those thirteen flights of stairs, wondering if being rich was very fairy-like. She decided it wasn’t, so as soon as she reached the street she offered it to the first homeless guy she met. But when he unwrapped the bundle all he found was a pair of old boots, even worse for wear than the ones he was already wearing. But instead of being upset he began laughing. Then he started dancing around and the young girl realized he wasn’t a homeless guy at all, he was a movie star studying for his next movie . They danced together, fell in love, they married and he took her to Hollywood, arranged a part for her playing a fairy in a movie with Mickey Rooney, who apparently loved all his fairies. Her husband found out and demanded a divorce.

Meanwhile Mickey Rooney had arranged a part for her in a movie playing an evil witch. Which she did, and realized it was far more fulfilling than playing a fairy. So for the rest of her life she played an evil witch. Till one morning out on Sunset Boulevard she tripped over a homeless guy’s bundle, stumbled into the road and was hit by a movie-star’s Masarati, died instantly. The movie-star was cleared of all charges, but the homeless guy was arrested for criminal negligence. His bundle was tossed into the landfill. Nobody bothered to unwrap it, even though it was filled with gold coins. And if that’s not a happy ending I don’t know what is!

PS I don’t know what is..
