SEASON ONE : “AN ORGANISM TO KILL FOR”

EPISODE ONE : “BLOW ME A KISS” : Alyssa saved from drunk-driving catastrophe, but can’t avoid making a fool of herself in front of her soon-to-be-ex husband, daughter and neighbor. Some mother-daughter guilt-and-forgiveness bonding. An all but morally, spiritually and financially bankrupt Bill has been roped into criminal activity by Dick Pindar. He later vents his frustrations by seducing his daughter’s best friend.

EPISODE TWO : IN THE SHADOW OF THE ROCK” : An unrepentant pedophile is executed in a maverick raid on a neighborhood brothel. One bewildered underaged victim shoots one of her “liberators” and escapes into the night. The shot is heard across the street at the sex-trafficking affiliated “Pocket Tavern. Steps are taken to avoid any police investigation. After a bizarre encounter with a young would-be gangster, the bar-manager iends up being shot dead.

EPISODE THREE “ THE DAMNED IN FAIRYLAND” : Bill visiting a bar called “Hell”, affiliated with the strip-club next door, is propositioned by that same young would-be gangster/ hit-man before wandering into the strip-club, recognizing one of the girls from a previously sexualized but much less lugubrious encounter. Meanwhile the thirteen-ear-old girl who “escaped” into the night finds refuge in the home of an againg ailing retired actor with a dubious past.

EPISODE FOUR : “THE HEART CRIES OUT FOR LESS” : The outwardly respectable sleepy shoreline community of Cozy Beach is also a refuge for the underage sex-trafficked and discreet health-and-safety conscientious option for adult prostitutes to ply their trade, which funds a free clinic for the region’s homeless, sick and derelict. They also staff the clinic, which is run by Gabriella, its’ only trained medical professional, who is deeply committed to a euthenasia option and pragmatically open to any other justifiable ways to keep the clinic alive. Its’ matriarch/ madame seriously wounded in her previous night’s “rescue” operation, collapse byt refuses medical attention. An emotionally long-suffering husband reluctantly agrees to his physically long-suffering wife’s mercy-killing. meanwhile back in the city, a recently incarcerated young street-kid attempts to re-bond with a fellow-ghetto—brat who has now become a scholarship student at the same prep-school as Jennifer, Kyle and Christine.

ALYSSA DAVERN : 43 years-old. Yale Business School alum. Mother of Jennifer. Married to Bill.

BILL DAVERN : 41 years-old. Cosmetic surgeon. Private practice. Father of Jennifer. In deep financial trouble from gambling addiction. Marriage heading for divorce.

JENNIFER DAVERN : 18-years-old. Prep-school senior. For the past year living autonomously from her parents in apartment above family garage.

MIKE : 37 years-old. Military veteran. AA sponsor. Sober for three years now.

DICK PINDAR : early 50’s. Owns Belize restaurant. Connections in high places. Criminally active in drugs and sex-trafficking. Father of Kyle.

KYLE PINDAR : 18 years-old. Classmate of Jennifer’s. Smart, handsome and always meticulously dressed.

DIDI : Early 40’s. Trans-gendered (not trans-sexualized) to female. Manager and host of “Strange Ways” LBGT downtown night-club. Lives in Cozy Beach, helps out at the clinic.

CHRISTINE BULWORTH : (“GAFFY”) : 18 years-old. Classmate and best friends with Jennifer and Kyle. Adopted as a baby by a retired judge and his second wife. Tattoos and studs. A rebel without any definite cause..

GABRIELLA : 33-years-old. Ex-missionary-medic in West Africa.

JEREMY : 34-year old priest. Infatuated with Gabriella, has been lured to Cozy Beach to provide spiritual comfort to the clinic’s inmates.

SOLOMON : 71-years’ old. Irish-American. Lost everything to his wife’s medical bills.

LUCAS : 18-years’ old. Scholarship student, attempting to put his past behind him. Sexual relationship with Jennifer. Emotionally very vulnerable.

JODY : 21-years’ old. Just released from two years in prison for robbery and assault. Tough street-kid with a soft heart. Played “big brother” to Lucas during their time in the city’s ghetto.

ZOE : 13-years’ old. Sex-trafficked from orphanage when she was 11 years’ old.

JANELLE : indeterminate age, anywhere from 70-plus….Sexually abused since she was a child. Chose to self-mutilate as a teenage girl. remained in the trade as a procurer and madame. Seeking some redemption in her old age, an incident three years previously sent her into hiding in Cozy Beach, though still plying the only trade she ever knew.

FRANKIE : early 20’s. Would be gangster / hit-man, looking for work.

FRANCES : aging, ailing retired actor with a dubious past.
