CORPUS DELICTUS

An American fiction series… now available on podcast audio at podbean.com .

A raw first-draft reading by the author myself…

Originally inspired by a local-library slide-presentation about sex-trafficking in Connecticut. Set in New Haven, over five days, Monday to Friday, in the first week of Spring 2018. Multiple characters and plot-lines interwoven, essentially revolving around the murder of two teenage girls, a couple of unlikely vigilantes and a bizarrely-staffed “Free Clinic” in a sleepy shoreline community. Three seasons, 24 approximately 60 minute episodes planned. I intend to provide cast breakdowns and episode synopses on this site. I may tend to forfeit clarity of definition sometimes in favor of rhythm, and I’ve never claimed to be an actor. Viral restrictions and budgetry considerations demand I just get on with it as best I can…..feedback always welcome manwithwords@aol.com I do have a google account but I do prefer the aol rhythm…. and I don’t do texting or twitter or anything else along those lines… I can withstand just so much typing screen time….

Also available on podomatic amid the miscellany of archival material “THE STEVE BELLWOOD SHOW AND TELL”. I reserve podbean simply for CORPUS DELICTUS.

Also on podbean is Teresa Langston’s “re-mastering” of 8 “demo” episodes of a radio series “BRAINCHILD” I scripted quite a while ago now, produced by the late Gregor Barnum and recorded at Yale studios in New Haven, with an ensemble of area actors. * You may recognize Teresa’s vocalizing, which I also used to book-end the first season of “Corpus Delictus”…. She and Gregor and I did some live and essentially improvised broadcasts together on WYBC, my favorite of which is uploaded on YouTube : “CIRCUS FAUSTUS” : a contemporary interpretation of a topically relevant age-old alchemical conundrum….

“BRAINCHILD is also available on my YouTube channel, graced by the collaged imaginings of Shula Weinstein.
